Host/Hostess

I will safeguard these pillars and its strategic planning and development and ensure all directives, practices, and initiatives are implemented, embraced, and adopted within the resort. Duties and Responsibilities • Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in departments standards. • Escort guest to the table and assist in seating and present the menu. • Ensure that you serve all the guest face towel. • Assist in the control of their outlet operational budget, ensuring that all costs are strictly controlled maximizing profitability. • Attend regular meetings and briefings to keep informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments. • Be familiar with food menus and wine menu offered in outlets. • Ensure the prompt and efficient service required by the resorts standards. • Ensure all mis-en-place for restaurant service is correctly prepared prior to opening hour of service. • Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine list, ensure designated amounts are available, and update menus or wine lists as changes occur. • Ensure working area is of exemplary clean nature. • Perform other duties as assigned by Asst. Restaurant Manager. • Follow opening and closing duties checklist. Skills and Experience To execute the position of Restaurant Host/Hostess I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels with proven results and including the following: • More than one year of experience in a similar operational role with proven results. • Proactive, visible and well‑organized professional with strong attention to detail. • Strong understanding of luxury service standards and the expectations of high‑end clientele. • Ability to work effectively and positively in a multicultural and cross‑cultural environment. • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). • Experience using hotel systems, including MICROS and other point‑of‑sale platforms. • Knowledge of hotel and resort policies, including discounts and food promotion procedures.
