The Night Manager acts as the senior leader on duty overnight, responsible for ensuring all hotel operations run smoothly and securely during the night. This role provides hands-on leadership across departments, supervises the night HSK (Housekeeping) team, and guarantees service continuity through close coordination with day teams. The Night Manager ensures guest experience excellence, compliance with health and safety regulations, and operational readiness for the following day.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Supervised all overnight hotel operations, including the Front Office, housekeeping, F&B closing procedures, Engineering, and Security.
· Lead the nightly handover to ensure all incidents, guest requests, and maintenance issues from all departments are documented and communicated to the day team.
· Ensure proper closure and reconciliation of all F&B outlets in collaboration with department heads.
· Monitor and resolve guest incidents or emergency in real time.
· Oversee the nightly performance of the HSK team and its task completion.
· Conduct a weekly walkthrough with the HSK Manager to review cleanliness standards and operational issues.
· Validate the proper turnover of guest rooms, public areas, and linen inventory during the night shift.
· Ensure guest satisfaction through a visible presence, proactive communication, and quick issue resolution.
· Coordinate with Security to monitor access control, CCTV, and general hotel safety.
· Handled VIP arrivals/departures and special guest requests during the night.
· Perform nightly walkthroughs of all hotel areas, noting operational, maintenance, or cleanliness issues.
· Complete daily Duty Manager reports including handovers, observations, and security checks.
· Collaborate with the Quality and Engineering teams to ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly.
· Review the proper disposal and handling of waste and garbage, to ensure compliance with hygiene standards, recycling protocols, and designated pick-up times.
· Act as the primary point of contact in emergency: fire alarms, guest health situations, power outages, or security issues.
· Lead crisis protocols and document all relevant actions taken when needed.
· Provide guidance and real-time coaching to night staff across departments.
· Support training and development initiatives by observing performance and reinforcing the Nobu values and service ethos.
