Join us as we continue to redefine urban excellence.Position: Regional Maintenance Manager (Plaza Hotels - Europe) Department: Maintenance (Corporate) Location: Madrid, Spain (Corporate Base, subject to frequent international business trips) 🔎About the RoleAs Regional Maintenance Manager, you will hold corporate responsibility for overseeing the maintenance and engineering operations across all our RIU Plaza hotels in Europe. Based in Madrid, you will lead the Chief Engineers at each property, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operate efficiently while maintaining the highest safety, quality, and corporate standards. 💼 What You’ll Do • Supervise and standardize maintenance operations across all European Plaza hotels, ensuring reliability and efficiency. • Develop and implement regional preventive maintenance programs and strategies to extend asset lifespan. • Ensure compliance with local regulations in each country and centralized RIU Hotels & Resorts standards. • Provide corporate leadership, technical support, and guidance to the Chief Engineer at each hotel. • Drive and oversee energy management strategies across the region to optimize consumption and reduce costs. • Work closely with Regional Operations Directors (ROD) and General Managers (GM) to ensure seamless hotel operations. • Prepare consolidated reports, manage regional budgets, and develop maintenance plans for short- and long-term capital projects. • Coordinate and benchmark external contractors for major repairs, renovations, and inspections across the portfolio. • Audit and enforce all health and safety protocols to provide a safe environment for guests and staff. ✔️ What We’re Looking For • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). • Proven experience in a multi-property maintenance management role or as a Chief Engineer in a large, complex hospitality setting. • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems, preferably in high-rise buildings. • Experience with energy efficiency strategies and corporate sustainability practices. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software (CMMS). • Ability to lead remote teams, analyze complex problems, and manage budgets effectively. • Fluency in both Spoken and written English and Spanish is required (this role is based in Madrid managing an international portfolio). • Availability to travel regularly to hotels in the region (Dublin, Berlin, London, etc.). 💎What You’ll Get • Attractive Remuneration Package: Enjoy a competitive corporate remuneration package. • Special Discounts: Benefit from exclusive discounts at all RIU Hotels & Resorts worldwide. 🌟Why RIU Hotels & Resorts?Your Growth is Our Priority: At RIU Hotels & Resorts, we believe in nurturing talent from within.
