Group Sales Manager

Job mission: As Group Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing group sales leads for hotels in region east (excluding social events) with dedicated focus for Meliá Berlin and INNSiDE Berlin. You will lead the Group Cluster team (where applicable) and/or the internal sales team, ensuring optimal conversion of group business. Your mission is to drive revenue growth in the MICE segment—rooms, banqueting, F&B, and related services—by delivering strategic sales actions and maintaining high standards of customer experience and operational excellence. Your responsibilities: • Support the Head of Group Sales and Area Director of Sales in developing and executing the MICE segment strategy. • Ensure achievement of budgeted targets for rooms, banqueting, and F&B revenues. • Oversee quotations for group leads (+10 rooms), ensuring optimal revenue generation. • Supervise the use of relevant tools for accurate group data and contracting. • Lead and support Group Sales Coordinators and Executives in both cluster and decentralized hotel teams. • Ensure smooth handover of confirmed groups to hotel operations and maintain strong communication. • Prepare weekly projections and standard reports on group demand and production. • Analyze conversion rates and define actions to improve business acquisition. • Promote and attend site inspections to increase conversion rates. • Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure exceptional service delivery. • Ensure negotiations and contracts align with MHI policies. • Collaborate with Head of Group Sales, Director of Sales and Revenue Management to define optimal pricing and sales conditions. • Representing the Head of Group Sales in case of absence.   What are we looking for: • Education: Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field. • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role, ideally with MICE and B2B experience. • Languages: Fluent in German and English; a third language is a plus. • Strong communication and negotiation skills. • Hands-on, results-oriented approach with analytical thinking. • Customer service excellence and attention to detail. • Proficiency in Salesforce applications, Opera Cloud, Microsoft Office
