Mission: Ensure the quality and consistency of ME Lisbon’s gastronomic offering by coordinating the kitchen team and overseeing the preparation and presentation of dishes in line with the highest standards of taste, aesthetics, and food safety. What will you have to do?
• Lead and organize the kitchen team, ensuring flawless coordination and efficiency across all service periods.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of each dish, guaranteeing excellence in flavor, technique, and visual appeal.
• Monitor portion control, waste reduction, and overall operational performance to maintain premium standards.
• Ensure the proper use, care, and maintenance of all ingredients, tools, and equipment.
• Uphold the highest levels of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety (HACCP) throughout the kitchen.
• Contribute creatively to menu development, stock management, and seamless communication with other departments.
What are we looking for?
• Degree or professional training in Gastronomy and/or Culinary Arts.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in 5-star hotels.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and gastronomic trends.
• Leadership, attention-to-detail skills, proactivity, and focus on excellence.
• Fluent in Portuguese and in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related tools.
