Exciting Opportunity: Join our Vibrant Hostel Team in Lisbon! About Us: As a part of the dynamic Spanish hostel chain, The Central House, we believe in providing more than just a place to stay. Nestled in the heart of Lisbon, our hostel is a hub of exploration and connection. Our chain of hostels extends across Istambul, Portugal, Spain and Morocco, and now, we're on the lookout for a dedicated Front Desk Agent to help us continue offering outstanding service to our diverse guests. Your Role: As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first smile that welcomes our guests and the foundation of our hostel's operations. Your key responsibilities will encompass: Warmly greeting guests and facilitating seamless check-ins and check-outs. Sharing insights about local attractions, events, and must-visit spots. Handling reservations, addressing inquiries, and fulfilling guest requests with a genuine desire to assist. Ensuring accurate and organized cash transactions while maintaining a tidy front desk area. Collaborating closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to uphold guest satisfaction. Resolving guest concerns promptly and efficiently, ensuring an uninterrupted and enjoyable stay. What We're Looking For: We're in search of an individual who exudes enthusiasm, warmth, and an authentic passion for hospitality. Here's what we hope to find in you: Exceptional communication skills and a welcoming demeanour. A proactive problem-solving approach and a strong desire to assist guests. A detail-oriented and organized work style. Proficiency in basic computer software (Microsoft Office, email, etc.). A team player with a knack for effective collaboration. Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess: A high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in customer service (bonus points for hospitality experience). Proficiency in spoken and written English; familiarity with other languages is advantageous. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays. Knowledge of the MEWS programme highly valued.
