About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona within the Food & Beverage Department, the Waitress (Sick Leave Cover) is responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience aligned with Mandarin Oriental standards.
This position reports to the Restaurant Manager / F&B Supervisor.
As a Waitress (Sick Leave Cover), you will be responsible for:
Providing outstanding, personalized food and beverage service
Taking orders accurately and efficiently
Ensuring tables are set according to standards
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the outlet
Assisting guests with menu recommendations and dietary requirements
Handling guest inquiries and resolving concerns professionally
Collaborating with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
As a Waitress (Sick Leave Cover), we expect from you:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Passion for customer service and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive attitude
Professional appearance and demeanor
Previous experience in a luxury hotel or restaurant (preferred)
Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
