JOB PURPOSE:
Under the guidance of the F&B Supervisor, this role is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dining area in a restaurant, assisting servers, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:
• Clearing Tables: Quickly clear dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables once guests are finished with their meals.
• Setting Up Tables: Reset tables with clean linens, utensils, glassware, and other items needed for the next guests.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Sweep and clean dining areas, especially around tables, and assist in maintaining a neat appearance throughout the dining room.
• Refilling Beverages and Bread: Assist servers by refilling water glasses, bread, or other items to enhance the dining experience.
• Assisting with Guest Requests: Respond promptly to any guest requests or needs, ensuring satisfaction.
• Supporting Service Staff: Help servers with large orders, carry trays, and support other service staff as needed.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that stations and areas are stocked with utensils, napkins, condiments, and other essential items.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to your teammates.
• Communicate with other employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions, and provide accurate information.
• Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy restaurant activity, Interact with other department personnel and venue staff as needed.
• Cover breaks, vacations and/or call outs as needed.
To be aware of and ensure constant compliance with all necessary operational policies including:
• Health and safety
• Food Handler
• Alcohol Compliance
• Maintenance
• Emergency procedures
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.
• Attend mandatory meetings including divisional meetings, staff meetings, etc.
• Participate in community events and ensure corporate social responsibility goals of Yurbban Hospitality Group are met.
• When disposing of confidential documents that contain any personally identifiable information, they must be shredded or pulverized.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the department head.
• Ensure compliance with Yurbban Hospitality Group's policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES
Assimilate into Yurbban Hospitality Group culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all Yurbban Hospitality Group elements. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Yurbban Hospitality Group from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
