Job Mission
The Waiter at Meliá Durres is responsible for providing courteous and efficient service to guests, ensuring that food and beverages are presented correctly and delivered promptly. This role is crucial in ensuring guest satisfaction and earning their recognition and preference for hotel services.
What You Will Do
Compliance with Instructions: Ensure compliance with the instructions of the immediate superior regarding duties assigned before and at the end of the shift.
Equipment and Supplies Management: Verify that all equipment and supplies required for room service are available and handle them appropriately to avoid breakage and waste.
Shift Briefings: Participate in briefings at the beginning of each shift to get information on dishes of the day, VIPs, groups, and general comments.
Guest Interaction: Deliver room service in a consistently friendly and respectful manner, maintaining impeccable posture and presentation.
Service Delivery: Ensure service is quick and correct, following the SOP for the position and ensuring timely delivery. Verify that the order is for the right room and meets the customer's requests.
Presentation Standards: Present the service in line with quality and presentation standards, checking that all items are included, such as cutlery, salt cellar, napkins, sauces, dressings, etc.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar position or 2 years as an assistant.
Education: Compulsory Secondary Education and/or Higher; training according to the position (VT, specialization courses, etc.).
Skills: Teamwork skills, proactivity to excellence, dynamism, organization, clear customer and detail orientation.
Qualities: Friendly, respectful, and guest-focused personality. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain a courteous attitude.
Languages: Proficiency in Albanian language and advanced English; a third language will be highly valuable.
Knowledge: Familiarity with hotel operations, customer service skills, and handling complaints.
