As a Cook Assistant you will mostly be behind the scenes, but your position is of uttermost importance to ensure a smooth operation. You will work with the Kitchen and F&B Department for daily outlet operations and Banqueting to plan for the supplies that will be needed.
Daily Tasks
• Will occasionally interact directly with guests when working out our Arrel Kitchen
• Ensure that quality standards are followed to exceed customer expectations daily.
• Create a great working environment for teams to thrive - linking up departments to create sense of one team.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Show your commitment and engagement to the brand, the hotel and your team by attending and supporting any of the activities launched by the hotel.
• Prepare and cook orders in accordance with portion and quality standards specified in recipes
• Control food usage to minimise waste
• Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assists in receiving items and taking inventory as required
• Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
• Attends meetings and communicates with executive, peers, and subordinates as an effort to improve quality of service throughout all departments.
• Maintain a clean, neat and well-organised work area, including but not limited to reach-ins, walk-ins
and counters
• Always follow established safety protocols and procedures. Immediately report any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment or any safety incident to the supervisor or manager on duty.

• Higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel. Management, Culinary Arts, or Related Field
• 1+ years’ related experience, including previous supervision experience.
• 5-star luxury experience is a must
• Fluent in English and Spanish – any other languages would be great.
• Must obtain certifications or permits as required by local governmental agencies.
• Flexibility to work a range of hours, which includes but is not limited to afternoons, evenings & public holidays.
