Mission: As Assistant Bar Manager, you will support the Bar Manager in the daily operation of the hotel's bars, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and outstanding guest experiences. You will help lead the team, drive beverage sales, and maintain the luxury lifestyle standards of the ME by Meliá brand.
What will you have to do?
• Support the daily management of bar operations, ensuring service excellence and compliance with brand standards.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the bar team, fostering a culture of professionalism, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Assist in inventory management, stock control, ordering processes, and supplier relationships.
• Support the creation and implementation of innovative cocktail menus and beverage offerings aligned with market trends and brand identity.
• Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, health & safety, and operational procedures within all bar areas.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences through product knowledge, upselling techniques, and proactive service.
What are we looking for?
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within luxury hospitality, high-end bars, or lifestyle hotel environments.
• Strong knowledge of bar operations, mixology, premium spirits, cocktails, and current beverage trends.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English; additional languages will be considered an advantage.
• Proactive, charismatic, and guest-focused professional, able to deliver exceptional service in a demanding, fast-paced, high-end hospitality environment.
