Join the Performance Marketing and Web Teams at Minor Hotels for an SEO internship where you’ll develop expertise in SEO and the travel industry. Collaborate with a global team. This role will lead you to serve as the primary point of contact for our Australia-based project team.
What will you do?
Integrate Australasia SEO activities into our Madrid operations
Maximise online revenue and visibility for the regional cluster
Participate in the global optimisation strategy of Minor Hotels Europe & Americas web conversion rates
Manage Google, Yahoo-Bing, Yandex and Baidu organic traffic with strong focus on maximising marketing contribution
Assist our SEO strategy both globally and locally in tight collaboration with other departments and stakeholders such as IT, Paid Search, social media, Business Intelligence, Content, and PR in order to drive integrated strategies
Conduct in-depth analysis of results in order to identify areas of improvement
Implement successful optimisation techniques to maximise returns for assigned points of sale by making best use of available tools.
Working within a project management tool managing tasks/workflows and creative files
Assist with Link Building management (brand monitoring and link claiming flows)
Assist with Local SEO, GMB and another local outlet management
Assist with Technical SEO audits
Assist in enhancing GEO and AIO (AI Optimization) strategies for Large LLMs and Google Overviews.
Assist with content SEO, including keyword research, copywriting for SEO, meta tag optimization, and content SEO audits
Create and present regular reporting on SEO performance along with insights
Work on specific tests/projects to be rolled out globally if successful
Identify and react to specific business needs and market trends
Brand monitoring
Assist/Collaborate with other Performance Marketing areas: Paid Search, Analytics, Metasearch
Participate in the global optimisation strategy of Minor Hotels
What are we looking for?
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree
Online Marketing/SEO Master desirable
Specific Knowledge & Experience
No previous SEO experience required but valued
Demonstrable C1 level proficiency in spoken and written English is required (Native English speaker preferred); working knowledge of Spanish is also needed.
Availability to work flexible hours, including the ability to connect with the Australian team starting at 8:00 AM or earlier
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, essential for effective follow-up calls and discussions in English with team members and different stakeholders.
Strong interest on SEO and digital marketing.
While not required, a passion for writing is considered a significant plus, local knowledge of Australia/NZ region and/or Travel industry in general would also be a plus
PREFERRED SKILLS
Must be able to start work at 08:00 (CET) or earlier to overlap with our office in Australia
High proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Fluent in English (Native English preferred) and Spanish (further languages will be a plus). He/She will have operative written and spoken communication with Australian office
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
You have some previous Google Analytics & Search Console You have previous experience working directly with other departments/clients (calls, meetings, presentations)
You did/ are doing a specific course in SEO
You have knowledge of Google Ads’ Keyword Planner Tool, Semrush, or other SEO tools.
