Job Description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventive maintenance across hotel facilities to ensure that all systems and areas are in perfect working condition, contributing to the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily maintenance tasks and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, laundry, and other hotel facilities.

Conduct preventive maintenance checks on equipment and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, etc.).

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to guests.

Keep accurate records of work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and orderly condition.

Assist in monitoring energy consumption and proposing efficiency improvements.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.

Follow safety protocols and comply with health and safety regulations.

Support the Engineering team in major repairs, refurbishments, and special projects.

Report any potential hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly to the supervisor.

Requirements:

Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical fitness to perform tasks involving lifting, standing, and manual work.

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and be on call for emergencies.

Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.

Vocational training or technical certificates are desirable.
