Cluster General Manager (M/F) - Urban Hotels. Minor Hotels Portugal

What will be your mission?

As Hotel Director, you will oversee the daily operations of the hotel as well as provide leadership and strategic direction to all departments in support of service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction. 
You will plan and supervise the activities of the team members to ensure a smooth and profitable running of business.  

What will you do?

• Ensure the coordination and management of the Hotel, reporting to the Regional Operations Director, in order to guarantee the provision of a quality and excellent service, which allows it to exceed customer expectations, value and develop employees and create value for the shareholder;
• To lead and manage the development of the hotel strategy;
• To set the annual budget and then deliver the Revenue and GOP targets of the property. Ensure Forecast and analysis of monthly deviations;
• Manage the entire development process to ensure all projects are consistent with the approved vision, profit plan and product design;
• Ensure the recruitment and training of staff approved by Management;
• To effectively lead and manage all day-to-day operational activities of the hotel, through the operational department heads;
• To effectively manage the owner relationship on behalf of the company;
• To successfully position the hotel from a Sales and property Marketing perspective;
• Monitor forecasts and Revenue Management activities;
• To ensure that the operational and service skills of the employees of the hotel are being constantly improved;
• Represent the company in accordance with the instructions given by the Regional Operations Director;
• Monitor the market and the hotel's competitive situation; 
• To support and implement all corporate procedures and guidelines. 

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's Degree in Tourism or Hospitality  
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a General Manager in the hospitality industry. 
• Strong communication skills, above average fluency in the Portuguese and English language is essential. 
• Excellent management skills and strong analytical skills are a must. 
• Prior experience with multiple stakeholder relationship management is essential. 
• High ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities
