Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of all IT tasks allocated to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.

All activities within the department will be carried out ethically, honestly and within the parameters of local law.

An important part of the role is to interact with guests and hosts in a professional, courteous and positive manner and proactively seek feedback, using guest name whenever possible.

I will perform the following relevant tasks for this role:

• Assist guests in any resort information technology issues.

• Support the IT Director in leading IT initiatives.

• Challenge IT initiatives to ensure appropriate and realistic business justifications are provided.

• Manage all aspects of the IT infrastructure, capacity planning, stability, contingency and disaster recovery planning.

• Maximize network and application security to protect company intellectual property from unauthorized access and provide for appropriate separation of duties controls.

• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment and licensed software.

• Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations

• Maintain, administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.

• Support the operational Head of Department’s with the management of the IT Systems in their departments.

• Manage to hub driven and develops local IT Policy and Procedure and Stand Operating Procedure.

• Follow Six Senses guidelines as they relate to the security and operation of computer systems.

• Keep aware of IT trends as they relate to the hospitality industry.

• Manage to maximize the returns from IT capital investments focusing on improved profitability, guest services or operations.

• Complete forms and reports in accordance with company procedures.

• Assist in setting up and maintaining paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material.

• Attend meetings and training as required by supervisors.

• Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.

• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

• Perform any additional tasks given to me by IT Director. 

Qualifications

To execute the position of IT Officer, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels with proven results. 

• I possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in IT Management


• More than two years’ experience in a similar hotel operational role.


• Technical skills include very strong design skills, concept skills, expert knowledge of the Microsoft XP Suite, strong working knowledge of SMS 2003, Microsoft Sharepoint Services and Veritas Backup Exec Anti-virus & Spyware tools and Intrusion Prevention and Detection solutions.
  


• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish. 
  


• Valid European work permit is mandatory.
