We are looking for Head of Sales & Marketing APAC - Club by Melia (based in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam) #LI-KN1 Mission: • Adhering to the philosophy, policies, procedures, and quality standards of Meliá Hotels International, lead the comprehensive strategy for Club by Meliá within the region. This involves defining and executing commercial, marketing, member experience, and operational plans aimed at sustainable growth, business profitability, and meeting the organisation's strategic objectives. Responsible for maximising commercial and operational performance, developing high-performing teams, ensuring excellence in the member experience, and strengthening collaboration between the different business areas and hotel operations. • Additionally, drive the identification and development of new growth opportunities by opening new markets, the international expansion of strategic products, participation in Brand Residences initiatives, and building strong relationships with property owners, investors, and other key stakeholders, thereby contributing to sustainable value creation for the properties, members, and the company. What will you have to do? General: • Define and lead the commercial, operational, member experience, and business growth strategies, ensuring full alignment with the strategic objectives of Club by Meliá and Meliá Hotels International. • Guarantee that financial, commercial, operational, and member satisfaction targets are met, ensuring business profitability, productivity, and sustainability. • Lead the execution of strategic initiatives focused on business growth, transformation, and innovation, while fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement. • Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with property owners, investors, business partners, and other key stakeholders, contributing to value creation for both the properties and the organisation. • Drive the identification and development of new growth opportunities through market expansion and the integration of our Circle by Meliá product into Brand Residences initiatives. • Guarantee effective coordination across Sales, Marketing, Member Relations, Hotel Operations, and corporate teams areas to ensure execution is fully aligned with business objectives. Commercial Strategy & Business Development: • In collaboration with the Commercial Strategy Department, define the planning and implementation of the commercial strategies established by the company. • Propose, design, and implement complementary commercial and operational strategies that contribute to achieving the business objectives and the organisation’s sustainable growth. • Lead the development of business plans aimed at opening new markets and new growth opportunities. • Design and implement commercial strategies for the positioning and expansion of Circle by Meliá in emerging and high-potential markets, with a particular focus on Asia. • Actively participate in Brand Residences initiatives, collaborating on the development of commercial and positioning strategies, and generating synergies with Club by Meliá and hotel operations. Leadership & Business Management: • Oversee core business activities, communicating the company’s strategic vision and establishing short, medium, and long-term objectives that drive sustainable business growth. • Develop and lead high-performing teams, ensuring appropriate resource and succession planning, ongoing training, and performance reviews. • Ensure that departments within their remit have the tools, capabilities and resources required to execute the defined strategies effectively. • Foster a positive company culture that promotes engagement, collaboration, innovation and professional development. • Manage budgeting, financial forecasting, cost controls, and the efficient allocation of available resources. • Actively participate in defining the strategic objectives for the Club by Meliá business unit. What are we looking for? EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business or Marketing, Master’s degree in Organisational Development, other equivalent degrees. LANGUAGES: Fluent in English SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: • Training in managing high-performing teams • Leadership and coaching training • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Finance for non-financial managers training • Statistical analysis • Business management EXPERIENCE IN OTHER COMPANIES (external candidates): 4 years in similar role. Director of Sales or similar role. Experience in managing relationships with property owners, investors, and strategic stakeholders. EXPERIENCE WITHIN MHI (internal candidates): 4 years in similar role. Director of Sales or similar role. Prior experience in Asian markets, or in developing commercial strategies aimed at clients from Asia, is highly desirable. Availability to travel
