We are looking for Human Resources Manager - Asia Pacific Region (based in Bangkok Corporate Office)

 

MISSION:

Reporting to the Human Resources Partner Asia Pacific, the Human Resources Manager Asia Pacific coordinates and manage the HR function in the assigned area of hotels according to the competencies of the position and following the company's policies, processes and tools in the field of people management, and always with the focus on guaranteeing a correct experience to the associates and candidates during the different phases of the employee cycle



MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Attends to MHI personnel regarding requests for information or other requirements
-Attends to staff & HoD requests (concerns, doubts, delivery of letters of recommendation, references, coaching, company information…)
-During visits, performs inspection of the status of personnel areas with checklist to be delivered to HR hotel team and HR Partner / GM and monitors their improvement action plan
-Holds one-to-one conversations to get to know the teams, feedback, aspirations, conflicts, areas of need, concerns, etc ...
-Together with the HR Partner and the Hotel HR Teams, guides and advises Hotels in the management of their teams
-Supports the hierarchical superior in the execution of personnel actions in the operational headquarters and key positions.
-Carries out the negotiation and proposal of suppliers and local agreements in coordination with the HR Partner.

TALENT BRANDING & ACQUISITION
-Executes and promotes Employer Branding campaigns in the hotels after coordinating with the HR Hotel Services (HRHS) area. 
-Identifies new schools and Universities at a local level for the management of internships, attending to their events. Provide support to the Hotels in the area, strengthening our employer branding.
-Identifies the needs of interns for the hotels in coordination with the Hotel HR Teams and Hotel Services, and keeps the database updated.
-Promotes employer CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) actions within the assigned scope of action.
-Shares the job offers and promotes their diffusion in the Social Networks.
-Provides support in the coordination of personnel transfers between the hotels in the area.
-Coordinates in the Hotels the Marketing Campaigns launched from HRHS. (Eg: World Environment Day, etc).
-Carries out data collection of recruitment KPIs

LEARNING & TALENT DEVELOPMENT
-Provides support to the Talent Manager in the organization of training initiatives.
-Collects training needs and sends feedback to HRHS for drawing up the annual training budget.
-Promotes the use of Emelia e-learning tool and ensures compliance with mandatory trainings.
-Ensures that all onboarding processes are correctly implemented.
-Provides support to the Hotels in the implementation of development plans.
-Coordinates the necessary actions to ensure the training of employees and HoDs.
-Talent mapping; ensures the periodic entry of information into the database.
-Carries out data collection of L&D KPIs.

CULTURE & VALUES
-Organizes and coordinates the measurement of the work environment and its follow up.
-Monitors the performance evaluation process of the associates and supports employees in the use of the tools and in their training.
-Coordinates the annual planning and supports the Hotels in the management of employee welfare: work environment, team building, communication processes, activities ...
-Coordinates the launch of the established Recognition actions and campaigns in the Hotels.
-Carries out data collection of Culture KPIs

COMMUNICATION
-Knows the contents of the Melia Home, its functionalities and encourages its use and knowledge to all employees.
-Updates the information boards in their work center with the most relevant internal and external topics in the area.
-Leads and ensures the implementation of the standard communication plan.

OPENINGS & DEFLAGGING
-Together with the HR Partner, carries out the tasks corresponding to the preopening of the Hotel until the handover to the Hotel HR Team, following the guidelines provided by Operations and HRHS.
-In the case of termination or deflagging of any of the centers, supervises the HR related processes, coordinating with the other areas involved. Supports the Hotel HR Team to carry out an analysis aimed to retain key talent.

HEALTH & SAFETY
-Ensures that the working place complies with the obligations in terms of health & safety and risk prevention. The mandatory compliance and the local legislation of each country will always prevail.
-Plans, manages and coordinates all training programs in prevention and healthy work environments, as well as their registration and filing.
-Collaborates in the execution of internal and external audits regarding Health & Safety. Coordinates with the departments the preventive measures that must be implemented.
-Ensures accident investigations are carried out. Follows up on corrective measures.

EMPLOYEE DATA MANAGEMENT
-Supervises and ensures the correct organizational assignment of hotel teams, knowing the criteria and organizational structure and processes associated with it.

LABOR RELATIONS
-Prepares labor related documents for the employees in their work center and for key positions in the Hotels (General Managers, Task force initiatives…)
-Coordinates the preparation of Working and residence permits for foreign employees in their work center.
-Executes Employee Relations processes according to local legislation and following external advisory guidelines.
-Under the guidance of Labor Relations / external office, attends labor inspections and court summons, preparing and collecting the requested documentation.
-Acts as the contact person with working institutions, Union and other Employees associations, complying with the corresponding obligations according to the country, keeping informed the HR Partner and Labor Relations

PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION
-Analyzes or makes the annual social cost budget for next year.
-Coordinates the fulfillment of the budget guidelines that apply in the area, monitoring budget deviations.
-Supervises and ensures correct contractual management in their work centers, complying with established policies and local legislation.
-Supervises and ensures the correct registration of information for the calculation of payroll and registration of absences and contingents.

 

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience at least 3 years in a managerial HR generalist position. Also, experience in a corporate or in a cluster role.
  • Fluent English and Thai in both speaking and writing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage multiple priorities, and drive results.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on team development and collaboration.
