Sol Tropikal is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of the hotel's facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs, and will be responsible for troubleshooting and fixing issues promptly to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Maintenance & Repairs:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to ensure smooth hotel operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Perform carpentry, painting, and general building repairs as needed.
• Respond to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests in a timely manner.

Preventive Maintenance & Safety Compliance:

• Execute preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building codes.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Assist in emergency situations such as power outages, plumbing failures, or HVAC malfunctions.

Collaboration & Guest Service:

• Work closely with other departments to ensure maintenance issues do not disrupt hotel operations.
• Communicate with guests and staff in a professional manner when addressing maintenance-related concerns.
• Assist in maintaining the hotel’s exterior, landscaping, and parking areas.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift, climb, and perform manual labor tasks.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification or training in maintenance-related fields is a plus.
• HVAC, electrical, or plumbing licenses (if required by local regulations) are beneficial.
