As a Waiter you will demonstrate service attributes in accordance with company standards including attention to detail, anticipation, accuracy and maintaining high levels of knowledge about the products and service offered in our F&B outlets.
You will always follow the Food and Beverage service sequence set by the hotel and you will adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures. As a brand ambassador you will become a role model and your goal will be to sustain our InterContinental Life.
Daily Tasks
- Create a warm welcome for everyone and set the tone for each guest’s experience. Ensure an outstanding tailor-made service.
- Take detailed customer orders and deliver food & beverage to guests.
- Be knowledgeable of the menu offered and be able to make recommendations to our guests.
- Analyse guest insights to identify and meet customer expectations and build on guest loyalty.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Receive payments and process transactions according to established policies and procedures. Balance cash drawer at close of shift.
- Working with the other departments, identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue.
- Maximise every sale opportunity by upselling and cross selling products or services in our FB outlets and other departments.
- Serve food and beverage to the standards set by the Hotel
- Ensuresthat mise-en-place is correctly carried out in his/her station and trays.
- Make sure food and drinks are secure and stored safely following HACCP protocol- always keep stock replenished to minimise waste.
Titulación mínima: Ciclo Formativo Grado Superior / Medio
Experiencia: De 1 a 2 años

Idioma imprescindible: Inglés - Profesional
- Higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or Related Field.
- 1+ years’ related experience.
- 5-star luxury experience is a must.
- Fluent in English and Spanish – any other languages would be great.
- Must obtain certifications or permits as required by local governmental agencies.
- Oracle MICROS knowledge will be highly valuable.
- Flexibility to work a range of hours, which includes but is not limited to afternoons, evenings & public holidays.
