Job Description
Arrange, connect, install, and repair electrical wiring in industrial, commercial, and other buildings;
Plan wiring layouts according to construction plans, regulations, and other stipulations;
Set up and secure distribution panels, fuse boxes, and lighting switches, connection boxes, and outlets;
Connect installed cables to circuit breakers and transformers to complete a circuit;
Repair, install, and connect switches, lighting fixtures, alternators, electric motors, ground wires, and other accessories;
Connect the installation to the network;
Perform circuit continuity and insulation tests using an ohmmeter, a "meger," and other electrical testing equipment;
Design control systems as needed.
