Duties and Responsibilities

As Head Hostess, I will support the F&B Office Manager and Assistant F&B Director in continually focus on the rejuvenation of the Food & Beverage department and oversee the hostess team across the different outlets in Six Senses Ibiza. I will have a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations, exceptional guest experiences, and efficient reservation management. 

I will perform the following relevant tasks for this role:

  • Ensure a warm and professional welcome for all guests across outlets.

  • Maintain Six Senses standards of guest service and ensure the hostess team provides a seamless and hospitable experience.

  • Handle VIP reservations and special requests, coordinating with relevant departments.

  • Address guest complaints or issues related to reservations or table assignment

  • Oversee and manage the reservation system to maximize table occupancy and revenue.

  • Implement effective booking strategies to balance demand across different outlets.

  • Monitor cancellations, no-shows, and last-minute bookings to adjust accordingly.

  • Supervise and lead the hostess team, ensuring efficiency and professionalism.

  • Provide ongoing training on guest service, reservation systems, and upselling techniques.

  • Conduct regular briefings to align the team with daily and special event requirements.

  • Manage scheduling and shift planning to ensure adequate coverage

  • Liaise with restaurant managers and chefs to align reservations with service flow.

  • Coordinate with sales, events, and marketing teams for group bookings and special promotions.

  • Ensure seamless communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams

  • To strictly adhere to LQA, Forbes and Six Senses standards.

  • To upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.

  • To perform any additional tasks given by the F&B Office Manager or above in the organization.



    Qualification

    To execute the position of Head Hostess, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels with proven results and including the following:


    • Possess a minimum of two years total experience in similar hotel operational role.

    • In terms of frontline F&B management, I have an intuitive sense of product and service quality, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury customer.

    • I am a responsive, engaged and interactive leader, capable of building strong positive relationships with hosts that results in a shared vision of success for the operation, demonstrated ability to leverage shared resources, undertake training as needed and to manage through influence.

    • Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including MICROS.

    • Familiar with Food and Beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory.

    • Fluent in English and Spanish is a plus.

    • Valid Spanish Work Permit or European Union citizenship is required for this role.
