Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Chef to join the crew of BALOO III, a 29-meter Pershing 9X, for the 2025 Mediterranean season. This is a seasonal position with an immediate start and a contract running through October. The yacht is based in San Antonio, Ibiza, and cruises the Mediterranean with discerning charter guests onboard.

  • Guests: Up to 11 (day) / 9 (night)

  • Crew: 4 (Captain, Deckhand, Chef, Stewardess)

  • Speed: Cruising 34 knots / Max 42 knots

  • Base Port: Es Náutic, San Antonio, Ibiza

BALOO III offers a dynamic and luxurious yachting experience, combining top speed and sleek Italian design with high-end amenities. The chef plays a vital role in delivering an unforgettable experience through exceptional culinary service.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Shop, prepare and serve high-quality, healthy, and Mediterranean-inspired meals for guests

  • Plan and adapt menus based on guest preferences and dietary requirements

  • Provision efficiently while managing budgets and storage constraints

  • Maintain a clean and organized galley in compliance with hygiene and safety standards

  • Collaborate with the crew to ensure seamless guest service and onboard harmony

Requirements:

  • Previous experience on luxury yachts (ideally 25m+), with solid understanding of onboard operations

  • Proven culinary training and/or relevant hospitality background

  • Strong knowledge of Mediterranean, especially Italian cuisine; additional global cuisines a plus

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment

  • Fluent in English; other languages a bonus

Valid STCW, Food Hygiene Level 2 or higher, and Medical Certificate (ENG1)

Contract & Conditions:

  • Start Date: Immediately

  • End Date: October 2025

  • Location: Home port in Ibiza; cruising the Western Mediterranean focus on Italy in July and August.

  • Type: Seasonal

  • Accommodation: Shared crew quarters onboard

  • Competitive salary depending on experience (DOE)
