๐ŸŒŸ Chief Financial Officer โ€“ Big Mamma USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

We are looking for a hands-on and strategic CFO US to lead all finance and administrative functions in the United States. As a key member of the US management team and a close partner to the Group CFO based in Europe, you will play a central role in both running and scaling our US business. You will be responsible for the financial stewardship of the current operations, while driving growth as we expand our footprint across the United States over the next 3 years.

๐Ÿš€ MISSIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

๐Ÿ“Š Finance & Business Operations


  • Lead all accounting, tax, and compliance processes in the US, in line with Group standards.


  • Own the monthly closing cycle and deliver accurate and timely management accounts, with insightful variance analysis.


  • Manage and improve internal controls, cash management, AP/AR, and financial procedures.


  • Oversee tax filings (federal, state, and local), working with external advisors.


๐Ÿ“ˆ Business Partnering & Strategic Planning


  • Act as a strategic partner to the Italian institution CEO, the Big Mamma USA CEO, and Group CFO, bringing a financial lens to decision-making.


  • Collaborate with operations and business development teams to drive site-level and company-wide performance.


  • Lead the budgeting and reforecasting process for the US perimeter.


  • Provide financial modeling and ROI analysis for new openings, investments, and business opportunities.


๐Ÿ’ต Treasury & Funding


  • Monitor cash flow and working capital on a daily and weekly basis.


  • Maintain strong relationships with local banks and support future financing needs.


  • Work with the Group Treasurer on intercompany flows, FX, and funding optimization.


๐Ÿ—๏ธ Team Leadership & Structuring


  • Recruit and develop financial talent as we expand into new US markets.


  • Manage a small team once recruited, and build the function in line with business growth.


  • Ensure processes are scalable and efficient, reducing closing timelines and increasing automation.


โš–๏ธ Compliance, Legal & Admin


  • Supervise office administration, insurance coverage, risk management, and legal matters in the US.


  • Liaise with external legal advisors on lease agreements, licenses, employment law, etc.


  • Ensure compliance with US labor law, accounting standards (US GAAP), and relevant hospitality regulations.


๐ŸคHuman Resources


  • In the early stages, the CFO will oversee key HR and People topics โ€” such as onboarding, local compliance, payroll supervision, and workforce planning โ€” in close alignment with the Group HR Director, until a local HR lead is in place.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE


  • Eligibility to work in the United States (US citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa) is required.


  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA or equivalent preferred.


  • 8โ€“12 years of experience in finance roles, ideally combining time in a Big 4 firm and a fast-growing, multi-unit hospitality or retail business.


  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and multi-site restaurant operations.


  • Strong business acumen with the ability to challenge and support operational leaders.


  • Proven track record in building finance teams, processes, and systems from scratch.


  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, ADP, Excel, and ERP systems (NetSuite, or similar).


  • Fluent in English; understanding of European reporting (IFRS) and/or French a plus.
    Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset, with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
