Barman - Dreams Madeira Resort Spa & Marina

Job Description

We are looking for a Barman to join our 5 star hotel in an international group, located in the stunning Madeira Island!


What we need:
-Knowledge in spirtis and the different beverages;
-Certificate in F&B;
-Experience in the hospitality market;
-Foundness for customer service;
-Upselling skills;
-Understanding of the latest industry trends regarding beverages;
-Organization skills, comunication and resilience;
-Team work;
-Desire and ability to train and develop staff;
-Proficiency in speaking and writing in Portuguese & English, basic German, French is a plus


Main Responsibilities and Duties:
-Monitors the ordering of all beer, spirits, bar tools and equipment;
-Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents , costing and preparation methods;
-Maintain stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality;
-Ensure that appropriate stock/par level of all bar items is constantly maintained;
-Utilize appropriate stemware/glassware as required by company standards;
-Create and push the limits of what mixed drinks can be;
-Use one’s expert knowledge to create innovative drinks and cocktails that explore the boundaries of flavors;
-Ensure a memorable customer experience;
-Ensuring high levels of customer service at all times to always meet our guest’s expectations.
