We're Looking for a Cafe Server Under the guidance of the F&B Supervisor, this role is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Deliver a warm, polished, and attentive guest experience consistent with boutique luxury hotel standards from arrival to departure. • Greet guests promptly, present menus, explain offerings, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on food, beverages, and daily specials. • Accurately take and enter orders into the POS system, ensuring attention to dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests. • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, and café menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café counter, service areas, tables, and patio, including regular pre-bussing and resetting. • Monitor café inventory levels on a daily basis, including coffee, milk, pastries, beverages, and paper goods, and communicate inventory needs or shortages to management in a timely manner. • Assist management with inventory counts and restocking as required. • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, following hotel cash-handling and reporting procedures. • Support team members during busy periods, including assisting with table setup, running food, pre-bussing, and managing guest flow. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including Florida Department of Health regulations. • Uphold all uniform, grooming, and appearance standards at all times. Communicate professionally and effectively with kitchen staff, supervisors, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth service. • Assist with special events, promotions, and extended service hours as needed. • Represent the café and hotel brand with professionalism, discretion, and a positive attitude at all times. • Participate in a pooled tip system, sharing gratuities with the café and service team in accordance with company policy. Requirements: • Minimum of 1 year of similar roles and nature • Hold a current State Alcohol Compliance and Food Handler Card or in the process of being certified • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods. • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift. • Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations. • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary. • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes Schedule: This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends required. Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL. Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of being stand and lifting 15 pounds or more Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
