Job Description

What will be your mission?

The Senior Vice President of Franchise Support is primarily responsible for the development of the franchise platform and the relationship between franchisees and the company, with a mission to ensure operational, financial and service excellence in franchised hotels within the region. S/he oversees the implementation of brand standards, systems and governance, assists franchisees in optimizing profitability and works with various departments to ensure consistent guest experience.

 

This role will report to the Chief Assets & Expansion Officer.

What will you do?

Franchise portfolio development:

  • Champion the development of the franchise platform for Minor Europe and Americas.
  • Review and adapt all key procedures to ensure that there is an appropriate basis for franchising within MHEA.
  • Analyze, recommend and approve agreements for franchise development projects in conjunction with our development, legal and operations teams.
  • Manage the evolution of the franchisee network (new agreements, renewals, terminations).
  • Support Development in the expansion efforts and communication with potential franchisees.

Operational management and support:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the operational performance of franchised hotels.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards in key areas such as guest service, maintenance, housekeeping and food and beverage (F&B).
  • Support franchisees in optimizing operating costs without compromising service quality.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as RevPAR, ADR, occupancy and guest satisfaction.

Franchisee relations and strategic advice:

  • Act as a key point of contact between the company and franchisees, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Make regular visits to franchised hotels to assess performance and provide personalized advice.
  • Analyze financial and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Develop strategies to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience.
  • Work with sales, marketing and revenue management teams to implement effective commercial strategies.

Training and Development:

  • Design and oversee training programmes for GMs and key hotel staff.
  • Ensure correct implementation of brand operating manuals.
  • Advise on the selection and training of GMs in new franchised hotels.

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Oversee quality audits and compliance with brand standards in franchised hotels.
  • Implement corrective action plans when operational deviations are identified.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, franchise agreements and safety regulations.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Franchise Management within the hospitality industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, Business or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel KPIs and revenue management strategies.
  • Experience in functional leadership and negotiation with franchisees in an international environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to different franchised properties.
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
