New!As a Cook you will mostly be behind the scenes, but your position is of uttermost importance to ensure a smooth operation. You will work with the Kitchen and F&B Department for daily outlet operations and Banqueting to plan for the supplies that will be needed.
Daily Tasks
- Will occasionally interact directly with guests when working out our Arrel Kitchen.
- Ensure that quality standards are followed to exceed customer expectations daily.
- Create a great working environment for teams to thrive - linking up departments to create sense of one team.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Show your commitment and engagement to the brand, the hotel and your team by attending and supporting any of the activities launched by the hotel.
- Prepare and cook orders in accordance with portion and quality standards specified in recipes.
- Control food usage to minimise waste.
- Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assists in receiving items and taking inventory as required.
- Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
- Attends meetings and communicates with executive, peers, and subordinates as an effort to improve quality of service throughout all departments.
- Maintain a clean, neat and well-organised work area, including but not limited to reach-ins, walk-ins and counters.
- Always follow established safety protocols and procedures. Immediately report any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment or any safety incident to the supervisor or manager on duty.

Essential language: English - Intermediate
- Higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel. Management, Culinary Arts, or Related Field
- 1+ years’ related experience
- 5-star luxury experience is a must
- Fluent in English and Spanish – any other languages would be great.
- Must obtain certifications or permits as required by local governmental agencies.
- Flexibility to work a range of hours, which includes but is not limited to afternoons, evenings & public holidays.
