What will be your mission?

 

As Sushi Chef, you will be committed to providing our guests with exceptional service, quality, and value. You will assist with training, assigning duties and supervision of the kitchen staff during the preparation, cooking and garnishment of food items.
You will also assist in the development of new menu offerings, banquet menus and reviewing all banquet event orders.  

What will you do?

  • Organize and coordinate the kitchen operations in collaboration with the Executive Chef, optimizing both team performance and raw material usage.
  • Support the Executive Chef in the proactive creation, design, management, and periodic review of menus.
  • Together with the kitchen team, oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality menus in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Supervise the quality of all products.
  • Oversee the implementation of the kitchen cleaning schedule across all facilities.
  • Manage staff shifts and schedules, while handling all matters related to new hires, terminations, absences, and other personnel changes within the department.
  • Assist the Executive Chef in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of kitchen staff.
  • Monitor the professional appearance of staff and ensure proper customer interaction on a daily basis.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and suggestions, escalating them to the appropriate superior when necessary.
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP hygiene and safety standards.
  • Supervise the management and control of stock, orders, and inventory of food and beverages required for hotel operations.

What are we looking for?

 

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie, preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity. 
  • Vocational training on hospitality/F&B/kitchen. 
  • Knowledge of Portuguese - Level C1 mandatory and a high level of English.  
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (Microsoft Office, POS, etc). 
  • Excellent management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure. 
  • Customer service oriented. 
  • Focus on detail.  
  • Flexible and reliable. 
  • Good team player.
