Lapoint Travels was set up in 2008 in Ericeira, Portugal, by two friends, when they opened the first Surf Camp in Ericeira. Lapoint enjoyed such a quick growth that before the end of that same year, they opened a second Lapoint camp, this time in Morocco. Meanwhile, two more partners joined the business and Lapoint continued its expansion plans.
Between 2009 and 2017, Lapoint inaugurated another 11 Surf and Kite Camps in various parts of the world: Bali, Costa Rica, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Zanzibar, Egypt, Sardinia and Croatia.
In 2018, for its 10 years celebration, Lapoint opened Quinta do Lizandro in Ericeira as a landmark of its maturity and identity. This new offering is a turning point symbol in Lapoint's service offers and promises to fulfill its vision: "Taking Surfing Camps to the next level."
