We are looking for Accounting Manager - Melia Hotels International, Bangkok Corporate Office (Thailand)
Mission:
Assist the Business Partner in the implementation, coordination and supervision of compliance with the systems, rules and procedures issued by the Group and by the General Directorate of Administration in the different Business Units of the Zone (Management Companies, Hotels, Offices of Sales, Foreign Companies, etc.). Collaborate and support the Business Partner APAC in the supervision and monitoring of the economic management of Companies and Hotels, to ensure compliance with established objectives, based on established policies and standards.
Main responsibilities:
• Comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and all applicable policies and procedures.
• Protect the Company’s reputation by ensuring all actions comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Oversee statutory accounting and the preparation of the Company’s financial statements.
• Coordinate with external consultants on statutory accounting matters, financial statement preparation, and tax compliance.
• Review balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and analytical reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with the general and specific accounting standards of Meliá Hotels International.
• Prepare and/or supervise monthly and annual financial reports, including analysis of variances against budgets.
• Prepare and monitor the Company’s cash flow, ensuring liquidity, forecasting accuracy, and timely reporting.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, including VAT, IIT, CIT, WHT, and any other applicable taxes, and manage communications with tax authorities.
• Prepare and submit all government-mandated financial reports.
• Review and post associates’ expense liquidations in the accounting system.
• Manage invoice reconciliation and prepare the accounts payable aging.
• Oversee payment preparation, ensuring proper authorization, accuracy, and timely processing.
• Oversee collection management, including monitoring outstanding receivables and following up on overdue accounts.
• Prepare balance sheet and bank’s reconciliation.
• Collaborate with the business partner(s) assigned to the hotels in Thailand.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the direct manager.
Main requirements:
Education: University graduation with major in Accounting
Certifications: Familiar with accounting regulation/tax regulation in Thailand
Language: Fluent English and Thai in both speaking & writing
Specific Knowledge: Microsoft Office
Work Experiences: 1 year’s experiences in accounting, with experiences of taxation in Thailand
