We're Looking for a Host(ess)
Responsibilities:
• Warm Guest Reception: Greet guests warmly and professionally to create a welcoming first impression.
• Seating Coordination: Manage an organized seating rotation to evenly distribute guests among servers and optimize service flow.
• Guest Flow Management: Monitor and adjust seating arrangements based on table availability and restaurant capacity.
• Communication with Kitchen & Management: Regularly update the kitchen and management on ticket times and seating adjustments to maintain smooth operations.
• Waitlist Handling: Provide accurate wait times to guests and maintain clear communication if times change.
• Server Coordination: Build strong communication with servers to track table status and ensure a balanced workload.
• Guest Satisfaction: Anticipate guest needs, accommodate special requests, and provide a seamless dining experience.
• Host Stand Maintenance: Keep the host stand clean, organized, and well-stocked with menus and promotional materials.
• Reservation & Inquiry Management: Handle guest reservations and inquiries professionally, ensuring special requests are accommodated when possible.
Requirements:
• Experience of 2 to 5 years in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant.
• Familiarity with OpenTable, Resy, Restaurant 365, lightspeed, or SevenRooms (final list to be confirmed).
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• A warm, friendly, and professional demeanor with a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Schedule: This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends required.
Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL.
Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of being stand and lifting 15 pounds or more
Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
FSLA Classification: Non-exempt
