About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, within the Housekeeping Department, the Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, suites and public areas assigned are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and luxury service. The position reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for the following duties:
• Clean and prepare guest rooms and suites according to Mandarin Oriental standards.
• Change bed linen, replenish amenities and ensure all room equipment is functioning correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness, presentation and hygiene standards in assigned areas.
• Report maintenance issues, lost property and guest requests promptly.
• Ensure guest preferences and special requests are fulfilled whenever possible.
• Follow hotel health, safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Collaborate closely with Housekeeping Supervisors and other hotel departments to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
As a Room Attendant, we expect from you:
• Previous experience in Housekeeping, preferably within a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Positive attitude and passion for guest service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly responsible, reliable and professional.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a multicultural team.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic English knowledge is an advantage.
• Legal authorization to work in Spain.
