We're Looking for a Bellman!
Responsibilities:
As a Bellman, you will be an essential part of the guest experience. Your main responsibility is to ensure a smooth and welcoming arrival and departure process while assisting guests throughout their stay.
• Work directly with the Sales Director on daily strategy, account priorities, and market opportunities.
• Develop and execute targeted sales strategies across Corporate, Consortia, National Accounts, and Travel Advisor segments.
• Proactively identify and pursue new accounts through outreach, networking site visits, and industry events.
• Prepare tailored proposals, negotiate rates, and issue contracts aligned with revenue goals.
• Achieve expected annual room revenue targets as defined in the hotel's sales and revenue plan, contributing directly to ADR and overall production goals.
• Represent the hotel at CVB events, corporate showcases, airline activations, consortia meetings, and select national trade shows.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for key accounts, delivering polished, service-driven communication from inquiry to contract.
• Conduct property tours and effectively communicate UMA House's value, amenities, and experience.
• Keep constant communication with the Operations and Front Desk departments, providing support on in-house clients to ensure an experience fully aligned with the hotels service standards.
• Build strong partnerships with corporate travel managers, consortia advisors, and leisure travel professionals.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with key contacts within the hotels immediate competitive set to generate indirect business opportunities.
• Work to secure the hotels inclusion in high-quality national wholesalers and tour operator packages.
• Integrate the hotel into co-branding partnerships for additional travel services such as car rentals, Highlight Trail transportation, tourist attractions, and other ancillary offerings.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum two (2) years of management experience in selling hotels, meeting rooms, co-working or any other hospitality environment.
• Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values
• An intermediate to proficient understanding of computer systems such as: OpenTable, lightspeed, microsoft word, excel & outlook is preferred
• Ability to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
• Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
• Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand english.
Schedule: This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 8:00 am to 12:00 am, Weekend availability may be required based on operational needs.
Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL.
Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer, and to lift and carry items weighing 15 pounds or more.
Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
