You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Some of the main responsibilities for this position are: -
To provide administrative support to the Event Sales Team To maintain a consistent communication flow with all departments. Respond to & qualify telephone and e-mail inquiries for groups and functions space within the company guidelines and standards of procedures Input booking details and relevant revenue linked with event electronically irrespective of status of booking Follow up with personalized written proposal documenting event details, rates, option date in line with Intercontinental Meetings Complete daily activities to follow up on all provisional bookings and log Maintain client contact where decision date has been deferred Using negotiation skill, price and confirm business to meet overall budgeted sales and profit targets Liaise with Event Managers for site inspections Follow up with Event Manager after site inspections and prepare contracts where requested Follow up on required deposits and compile event files to include contract signed by client and hand over to Event Manager

Previous experience in events planning or events sales at 4/5 star hotels within same size property is an advantage Knowledge of London Market Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Additional languages a plus. Good computer skills and be familiar with Standard MS Office applications and Delphi The ability to promote a good team spirit and open communications within and outside the Events Sales department Must have the drive and passion to succeed at the highest level All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK & must be in possession of the relevant passport and visa
