Maintain guest contact so that the guest relies on Butler to act on behalf of Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, for all services, preferences or problem solving.

Welcome all guests to their assigned suites and explain, in accordance with of Legendary Quality Experience required standards, facilities and services provided by Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona.

Offer and deliver complimentary welcome drinks upon guest arrival within eight minutes.

Ensure that impeccable grooming standards are maintained by the team, whilst personally presenting a professional Butler image according to operating procedures within Butler's manual of Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona.

Maintain effective communication with all other related departments, ensure all guest requests and preferences are anticipated and handled effectively.

Liaise closely and considerately with Guest Relations, Housekeeping, Front Office, Reservations, Food and Beverage, Concierge and Spa departments.

Execute and take ownership of all duties relating to the entire butler service operation.

Maintain open lines of communication and ensure customer complaints/feedback is handled effectively and efficiently.

Carry out instructions and requests for assistance given by any head of department or management.

Assist and work side by side with Housekeeping department; preparing arrival suites according to amenity codes and guest preferences and ensuring that all special requests and amenities are in the room prior to arrival.

Offer technical support to guests where required, i.e. internet access, fax machines, laptops and television.

Provide laundry, packing and unpacking services, as well as shoe polishing and daily tidying of guest belongings in suites according to standard operating procedures in the Butler's manual of Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona.

Perform room moves according to standards and procedures of the standard operating procedures Butler's manual of Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona.

Identify and anticipate guest's needs and requirements and ensure they are carried out effectively and efficiently.

Ensure all guest amenities such as flower arrangements and fruit bowls are appropriate and suitable according to Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona standards, whilst conforming to determinate suite
