Job description
👋 About Boundless Life
Boundless Life helps families live, work, and learn around the world. Since 2021 we've grown to eight locations across Europe, Asia, and soon Latin America, with 140+ team members. We provide family-friendly accommodation, an education system that travels with families, and communities where they can put down roots quickly — wherever they land.
🙌 The role
This is a temporary position covering the absence of a team member on leave. It is expected to end on that colleague's return, in line with applicable notice requirements.
As Community Host in Sintra, you're the bridge between our families and everything else — the team, the location, the local providers. You'll spend a large part of your day face-to-face with families, and the rest making sure their experience runs seamlessly.
You will:
Build genuine relationships with families, understand what they're looking for, and help new arrivals settle into the community
Organise and host community events, and help families lead their own
Resolve requests via our ticketing tool and book services on families' behalf
Prepare for arrivals and work hands-on through turnover weeks, coordinating with the onboarding team
Source and manage local providers and third-party vendors
Keep operational documents current: Welcome Guide, brochures, emergency manuals, Google Map, inventory
Gather feedback and spot opportunities to bring families together
Contribute content to our internal UGC channel
You'll be based at the hub but moving regularly between there and the community lounge (about 1.5km apart, on foot, with stairs), plus off-site visits to providers. No two days look the same.
Success looks like: high NPS and a growing number of community-led activities.
🫶 About you
Based in or near Sintra, able to commute daily between both locations
2+ years in Guest Relations, Customer Experience, or Community Building — ideally in hospitality
Fluent written and spoken English and Portuguese
Naturally outgoing and high-energy, and genuinely enjoy being around people all day
Strong organiser: comfortable juggling a high volume of requests and multiple priorities at once
Some experience organising events
Available to start by the end of August, and comfortable with a temporary engagement covering a colleague's absence
Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
💥 What's in it for you
Work somewhere extraordinary, surrounded by an international community
Create the cultural moments and friendships
